"No," you tell him and step away. "She's a victim." You want to believe this lie, that you were a hero and saved her. You can't murder the
damsel in distress, especially when she has no means to defend herself.
"Alright," he shruggs and throws the dagger at Gertrude. It pierces her in the chest, hitting the heart and killing her instantly.
You stare slack-jawed, that this man killed her so quickly with less emotion than you show killing a fly. But you should have been paying more
attention to the man that could kill with such ease and not to the lifeless body of Gerturde. You feel the familiar pain of a crossbow bolt
dig into you torso. Another joins it. As you turn your attention back to him, in too much pain to confront him, he draws a sword.
"There's a bounty on your head too."
